Conventional hydraulic torquing can be hazardous if done with a handheld wrench. The hands free operation created by a custom Riverhawk distance piece connection, created with Riverhawk's hydraulic tensioned nuts, solves the problem of user safety and protection. An inherent safety feature in the Riverhawk design is that the forces at play act along the axis of the bolt- and not through any hazardous torque arms.
In the event a standard distance piece connection will not satisfy a given application, Riverhawk can either modify the standard product or custom design a solution. All of the distance piece connections for reciprocating engines designed by Riverhawk are customizable to be retrofitted and installed.

The HET series of standard external tensioners is a light weight, compact and versatile line of tensioners.
