Gas Turbine Casing Closure
HRT Advantages:
- High clamping force achieved in radial restricted areas.
- Retrofittable
- Ease of installation
- High temperature service (1000 deg. F)
- Hydraulics separate from nut body.

Problem:
Installation of casing nuts located in deep, radial restricted counter bores led to inadequate clamping loads using conventional hydraulic torquing methods.
Solution:
Original torquing system was replaced with Riverhawk Hydraulic Rod Tensioning (HRT) System, capable of 1000 deg. F service The retrofittable nut retained the 45,000 psi residual stud stress within the radial restricted envelope.
