Problem:
Traditional torquing methods and multi-jackbolt torquenuts created a non-uniform load distribution between casing halves resulting in leakage paths that lead to sub-marginal acceptance tests and start ups. Numerous adjustments are normally required to achieve clamping uniformity that result in missed deliveries and start ups.
Solution:
Original equipment replaced with Riverhawk designed tensioners. Operating in tandem, the tensioners hydraulically stretch the Riverhawk supplied studs to achieve a repeatable, uniform clamping pressure required for trouble free acceptance testing. The reduction in labor and test hours equates to on time deliveries and start ups.
