Reciprocating Compressor - Distance Piece Connection
- 50% Reduction In Installation Time
- Improved Safety Measures
- Repeatable, Uniform, Controlled Loading
- Shorter Turnaround
 |
Problem:
Installation of the traditional hex nuts using conventional hydraulic torquing was time consuming and posed a safety hazard using a hand held torque wrench inside the confined space of the compressor distance piece.

 |
Solution:
Original hydraulic torquing equipment replaced with Riverhawk Hydraulic Tensioned Nut (HTN). Tie rod tensioning time was reduced by 50% in which the hands free operation improved on safety considerations. The hydraulic nuts were tensioned simultaneously using a manifold in conjunction with the Riverhawk Air Driven Hydraulic Pressure Kit.
